Plastiki
The Plastiki is the brainchild of billionaire environmentalist David de Rothschild. After learning of the 74 Million pounds of trash floating in our oceans, David set to work on a project to bring awareness to this problem through an innovative and inspiring story of adventure up-cycling and engagement.
This is a placeholder site for a comprehensive experience telling the story of the years of effort that resulted in an adventure. An adventure that took place on a 60ft catamaran using nothing but PET plastic and Plastic 2-liter Bottles held together with molasses and almond glue.
